Our Approach to External Linking
Last updated: May 2025
Dainik Dayitva occasionally links to third-party websites and external sources as part of our commitment to transparent, well-sourced journalism. This page explains our editorial standards around external linking.
Why We Link Externally
External links serve our readers by providing access to primary sources, official statements, government data, research reports, and supplementary context that enhances the depth and credibility of our journalism. We link to external sources when they add genuine informational value — not for commercial gain.
Our Editorial Standards
Before linking to an external source, our editorial team considers the following criteria:
- Credibility: We prioritise links to government portals, established institutions, reputable news organizations, and verified official sources.
- Relevance: Every external link must directly support or substantiate the content of the article it appears in.
- Safety: We do not link to websites that contain malware, misleading content, or that violate applicable Indian law.
- Independence: External links are editorial decisions only. We do not accept payment in any form for linking to external websites.
We Are Not Responsible for External Content
Dainik Dayitva is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any external website. A link to an external site does not constitute an endorsement of its views, products, services, or editorial stance. External websites may change their content after we have linked to them — we make reasonable efforts to review links periodically but cannot guarantee their continued accuracy.
Embedded Third-Party Media
Some articles embed media from third-party platforms such as YouTube (Google). When you interact with embedded players, you are engaging directly with that third-party platform and are subject to their terms of service and privacy policies. Dainik Dayitva does not control, and is not responsible for, data collected by these platforms through their embedded content.
Broken or Outdated Links
If you find a broken, outdated, or inappropriate external link within our content, we encourage you to report it to us so we may review and update it promptly.
No Paid Links
Dainik Dayitva does not participate in link exchange schemes, paid link placements, or affiliate linking arrangements. Our linking decisions are made solely on editorial merit, consistent with our founding principle that "Journalism is a Mission."
